About

Bo’mains is a working arable farm located between Bo’ness and Linlithgow in central Scotland.

The bed and breakfast business is partnership between Bunty Kirk (based at the Farmhouse) and daughter Lorna (who lives with her husband Charlie next door at Kirkland House).

The main house and Kirkland House offer seven rooms for visiting guests, with stunning views across the Firth of Forth and the rolling hills to the south.

The properties offer high-quality, affordable and comfortable accommodation for families, walkers and those working in the local area. Bo’mains is within easy travelling distance of the famous Highland Show, on the outskirts of Edinburgh – as well as the city’s amazing arts festivals and lots of historical sites. Check out our area guide.

Both properties are rated four-stars by the AA (four star gold) and VisitScotland and attract impressive reviews on TripAdvisor.

This video – produced a few years ago – shows the warm welcome that awaits you at Bo’mains Farm.

A POEM LEFT BY A GUEST (DEBRA HORE)

Tucked away amidst the glorious landscape, filled with comfort, and charm
Sits the beauty, warmth and grand hospitality of Bo’mains Farm
Where you will be cheerfully greeted, as Bunty and Martin show you the way
To your room, home from home, as you happily begin your stay
Nothing too much trouble, you have the comfort to unwind
To then explore, go sight see, everything you could wish for, you’ll find
A leisurely and full breakfast, of numerous choices to start off your day
From delicious porridge, to full Scottish helpings, mouth-watering in every way
More tea or coffee? Or maybe that one extra slice of toast
Before you tootle off on an other adventure, through the sweeping landscapes, or to the coast
Then return to the luxury, of a freshly made bed
In the tranquil location, where you can now lazily rest your head
Why the beauty of Scotland, is breath taking beyond all measure
And a stay with dear Bunty, is a memory you will treasure
So as we prepare to leave this wondrous place , our hearts are abundant with good cheer
And though we bid Bo’mains Farmhouse farewell,
Aye we will see ye again another year. For Sure!
